Il cottage si trova nella zona delle Crete Senesi, a soli 10 km da Siena e 15 km da Asciano.
Questo è uno dei luoghi più suggestivi del sud senese e per questo il più fotografato. La collina Leonina fa parte del "Site Transitoire", la magica scultura di Jean Paul Philippe.
Il casolare è circondato da un ampio e bellissimo giardino privato (circa 2400 mq). Piscina privata (4x8 profonda 1,20 m). Due patio coperti con mobili da giardino.
La casa, appena rinnovata, ha pavimenti in cotto tradizionale toscano e travi in legno a vista. Nelle camere da letto pavimento in parquet. Arredamento di alto livello.
Dalle finestre delle camere e dalla porta in legno della cucina si gode di una bella vista sulla piscina e sulla campagna. Anche Siena è visibile all'orizzonte.
Visitate il Museo del Paesaggio e il Castello di Montalto. Portate i vostri bambini al Parco delle Sculture del Chianti. Visitate il centro città per cenare e fare shopping. Potete anche visitare il Castello di Brolio e il Duomo di Siena. Da qui è possibile fare escursioni alla Galleria degli Uffizi e al Castello di Meleto.
L'aeroporto più vicino dista solo 80 km.
The house and the environment was really nice, just the contact with the owner was very disappointing. Everything you could think of is charged extra, sheets, towels (bad) internet, heating, airconditionning, pets, cleaning. Considering the price of the house I expected most of these posts included. More important the tone of voice of the contact with the owner and the little instruction folder was quite negative. To top that off, the owner accused us of lying about the days we used the heating (I think). All in all a mixed bag. We definitely did not feel welcome and just a cash cow. I guess I should read the fine print better next time. An earlier review should have tipped me off.
Hand- und Badetücher können zwar als Paket (10€ p.P.) extra gemietet werden, allerdings bekamen wir für unseren zweiwöchigen (!) Urlaub mit Pool nur 1 Handtuch und 1 Badetuch p.P., die auch für die Plastikliegen am Pool reichen müssen: Auflagen gibt es nämlich keine. Für frische Handtücher muss man extra zahlen. Hier wird an den falschen Stellen gespart. Von dem kaputten WC, der Spülmaschine und der defekten Waschmaschine ganz zu schweigen.
Goed, even wat onduidelijkheid over de aankomsttijd, hadden we niet goed in beeld.
Een prima vakantie woning - zeer compleet, schoon en ruim. Prachtige uitzichten en lekker rustig omgeving. Zeker aan te bevelen.
We hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf!
Mooie omgeving, prachtig uitzicht (incl. zicht op Siena met zijn prachtige toren!), heerlijk zwembad, leuke stadjes in de omgeving, en natuurlijk het heerlijke eten en drinken (incl. top restaurant op loopafstand).
Wunderschönes Haus, schöner, großer Garten, sauberer Pool, einsame Idylle, Ruhe, Insektenschutzgitter in Schlaf- und Badezimmer im ersten Stock, leider keine Mikrowelle und keine Auflagen für die Gartenliegen.
