Within easy reach you have Träslövsläge with its idyllic harbor, restaurant, pizzeria, fast food, mini golf and the very well-attended ice cream bar Tre Toppar where people are happy to stand in line to buy the good ice cream. There is also a nice beach. Varberg is a real summer town with a throng of people, taverns, cafes and dance venues, everything that belongs to a summer town. The massive Varberg Fortress guards the entrance to the harbor and can be seen in the distance. Take a walk down into the bastions and casemates, follow from the 13th century to our own time. If you go south, you will soon reach the nice summer town of Falkenberg with its fine selection of cafes, shops and restaurants. Here is also the fantastic long sandy beach at Skrea. Another nice excursion destination is Åkulla beech forests and for those of you who are technically interested, it is not far to the world heritage Grimeton. For those interested in golf, there are several nice golf courses nearby, the closest being Varbergs Gk. The cottage is not rented to youth groups. Towels are included when booking bed linen.
