Only 250 meters from the coast. Not far from the cabin, there is an opportunity to rent a boat and explore the fjord on your own or have exciting fishing trips. In the cottage area, there are tennis courts, bowling alley, volleyball court and a nice playground.
Within walking distance there are fine, small sandy beaches both on the lake and the sea. At Jegertunet holiday center in the neighborhood there is a heated outdoor swimming pool open in summer, restaurant, kiosk, and an interior design shop. At Stabbestad, 20 km away, there is a spa hotel and golf course as well as a mini-golf facility, as well as a beach club, harbor pool and kayak rental on the fjord. A visit to the small towns Kragerø in the north and Tvedestrand in the south can also be recommended.

If you don't drive a boat yourself, you can use a taxi boat or take a trip with Øysangferja, Norway's oldest wooden boat ferry, which runs between Øysang and Risør. Experience Risør's characteristic white wooden houses, saltwater aquarium, and restaurants, and take part in one of the many events and festivals, such as the wooden boat festival in August.
